Cengiz Dana @ JustMe&Mine Fashion showroom
Cengiz Dana was born into an Istanbul family where his father was a top chef at the Hilton, Istanbul. The attraction and passion of fashion production drew Dana to start an apprenticeship with his Uncle (who was the first factory using modern machine for fashion production.) In the 1960s, following fashion of the time Dana and his brother moved their production to Amsterdam to find the hippy movement. Later in 1978, he started a production from Grand Canaria where he set up six shops. The sales to the Dutch and Spanish markets were growing well until he met a potential partner determined to bring him down. In the 1990s, after several years trying to get rid of this misfortune and conspiracy behind his back, Dana decided to retreat temporarily from the world of fashion production.

— Dana : “I turned my attention to writing, as a therapeutic road to self discovery and philosophy. The desire to produce ladies fashion resurfaced from there and in 2005 I relocated to China where I am now starting my own exclusive label called : ‘JustMe&Mine’ — a fashion production wrapped in a philosophy that is key to the success of the creations.”
— Delta Bridges : “What makes ‘JustMe&Mine’ different from the other ones?”
— Dana : “I’m working with partners in Italy and Holland and I have four successful labels in Europe, but ‘JustMe&Mine’ has a completely new philosophy and lifestyle. My message is that we can love only if we’re good, honest, and have self-love; then we can have empathy for others, understand and feel their journey. To be ourselves and let other people see us truly as we are, we must learn to listen and understand our inner voice. ‘God’ is the feeling that we call ‘truth’ within ourselves. ‘Religion’? : No thanks. With this philosophy we can understand everything and hope for a better world. Fashion is one of the pillars of understanding, like music and art. Fashion is an art and a philosophy. - ‘Understanding is the solution’.”

— Dana : “As well as being able to visit us to place orders, we will also open the factory showroom to local boutique owners and local people on specific dates, roughly twice a month.”
[As part of the fashionable lifestyle Dana created the unique strawberry and chocolate organic vodkas.]
— Delta Bridges : “What’s the idea behind making your own Vodkas?”
— Dana : “I made these Vodkas because they are original and easy to drink amongst friends, after dinner or at night. The organic strawberry&chocolate vodkas are lighter drinks (20% alcohol). So far, everybody likes the taste and it attracts fashionable people to the label, which builds brand recognition. “
[Because of that positive vibe, the vodkas are now part of the promotion for ‘JustMe&Mine’ and sold in only fashionable clubs and bars. The production is fair trade represented by long lasting quality and responsible production. Justifiable and open profits are also a key part of fair trade.]
— Delta Bridges : “Why did you choose the Pearl River Delta to open your business?”
— Dana : “This region has a strong economic potential for the upcoming years. There is a big market here for what I do. I’m already establishing a professional and dynamic production process for the foundation of the new label. In Zhongshan, I can produce high quality clothing at prices up to ten times cheaper than in Europe.” […] “My label is new and has to build up. That’s why I need partners to help and honestly work together so that we can move forward into international high fashion.”
