GUANGZHOU, CHINA – April 26, 2012 – Led by General Manger Timur Senturk, a group of seven senior executives from The Ritz-Carlton, Guangzhou are providing unique career mentoring opportunities to Sun Yat-Sen University undergraduates. This program, which began early this month, is part of The Ritz-Carlton’s global Succeed Through Service community service program and will host more than 100 students before concluding in mid-May.
In addition to open lectures on hospitality, presentation skills, and etiquette, selected participants will spend two days shadowing one of the mentoring executives to gain hands-on, practical experience.
The hotel’s seven participating mentors—coming from Germany, Italy, Canada, Singapore and Hong Kong, in addition to Mainland China—are all members of The Ritz-Carlton, Guangzhou’s senior Guidance Team.
This year is the third in which The Ritz-Carlton, Guangzhou has cooperated with local universities to offer students career exploration and instructional opportunities; the hotel has previously worked with Guangzhou University and Southern China Normal University.
