Guangzhou, June 22, 2012 – Once again on June 22, 2012, Sofitel Guangzhou Sunrich was a true ambassador of the Fête de la Musique.
First held in France on June 21, 1982, the first day of summer in the northern hemisphere, the Fête de la Musique (Music Festival) was soon exported; today, it is an annual, international and unifying event. It is only natural for Sofitel, as an international French hotel brand, to help celebrate this major cultural event around the world.
In 2012, Sofitel Guangzhou Sunrich joins hands with Guangzhou's Alliance Française for an evening of Chinese jazz and French chanson. Up and coming French singer Florent Marchet and his band took the audience to a French music journey, with his creative sounds of piano and guitar performance. Prior to this unique concert, famous South China Wedo Jazz Big band graced the concert hall with their warm music.
