Regional IT Engineer

Network:
- Patching, maintenance and replacement of cabling.
- Local administration of routers.
- Local administration of switches.
- Local administration of wireless.
- Identification, troubleshooting and escalation of problems.
Servers
- Hardware lifecycle management
- Software lifecycle management
- Responsible for the security and recoverability of the environment.
- Identification, troubleshooting and, when required, escalation of problems.
PC’s
- Hardware lifecycle management
- Software lifecycle management
- Responsible for the security and recoverability of the environment.
- Identification, troubleshooting and, when required, escalation of problems.
Other related peripherals (Printers, copiers, scanners etc)

- Identification, troubleshooting and, when required, escalation of problems.
Other
- Local implementation and support of the HBF Security Strategy.
- Manage the onboarding an departures of HBF staff as it effects IT.
- Maintain relationships with external suppliers of IT equipment, all internal escalation partners and the business system users..
- Take part in regional and global projects as required.
- Research appropriate technology and product offerings.
- Provide input to infrastructure solution recommendations based on customer requirements and internal standards.
- Manage configuration and implementation deployments.
- Other duties as directed.

Approximately 90% of this position is support related, and 10% is project participation.
Some international travel may be required.
Off hour on-call support is required.
