i know that chinese nationals are entitleed to marriage leave of3 to 10 days depending on age. i'm pretty sure that this labout law also applies to foreigeners employed in china but i can't prove it. anyone have any experience with this??
my foreigner friend was given the same marriage leave when he got married while employed in a chinese company here in zhuhai. but that marriage leave was clearly stated in his work contract as well as on the company employee handbook. do check it out first to be sure or ask your HR.
If it's not in your contact, you should definitely discuss this way in advance with your employer. They might just make it an unpaid leave but normally they shouldn't be objecting your getting married and taking a few days off for that. As long as you talk about it ahead of time and probably would need to write an application for the leave.
