Anyone from the USA?.
Hi all,
I just back in zhuhai after spending a long time in the USA, and seems like have not friends here in Zhuhai.
Anyone from/study in the USA stay here?
Want to plan a party or so?
Just wanna meet some new friends.
Arghhhhhh, can't believe I have culture shock+jet leg+language shock!
I'm American, but it's funny, Americans seem to be really under-represented here. Off the top of my head can only say I know a few, compared to the many other nationalities here.
Not sure if it is because there are fewer American companies here?
So, we prolly need import more American here, lol!! =D .
Anyways, great to know you!
BTW, which state were you from?
Nice to meet you here!
How long u had been in Zhuhai?
We just had a great July 4 party at the Old Chinese Junk in Tangjia. Lots of us "Yanks" hang out there.
haha, sounds great! I was in SF fisherman wharf for the fireworks and have Korean+American BBQ in my friend's house.
BTW, I would love to join next time if there is any activity like this, sign me up.
Hands up. Please count me in too if possible. Thanks :_)
American too. From MPK in Calif. if anyone knows where that is. :)
Lemme guess...
Monterey Park?
Menlo Park?
Moorpark?
I'm american, I moved to zhuhai from los angeles 5 months ago. the guys over at zhuhainights.com hold regular get togethers and you can meet lots of americans.
@ hotrodbuddha(woot, what a long name!!0.0 jk.), MPK for Moor Park?
@ FeiGeiWay, oh, ok, thanks, =) LA, haha, I was there, nice place, but, I prefer SF. I will check it out.
Hello! My name is Mike. I will be one of the rare Americans (?) in Zhuhai come September. I have been teaching for 33 years with 7 of those in China (24 USA, 2 South Korea). I am looking for the 3 R's - Roman Catholic Church, root beer, and reading material.
Pleased to be on my way to Zhuhai!
Mike
MPK in this context = Monterey Park. Grew up there, so I was there before MOST of the Chinese got there. I still remember the KFC before they went out of business. I still find it ironic since KFC is the fastest growing franchinese in China.
LA vs. SF is a long story and discussion. But suffice to say, each has it's charm. But for an LA boy like me, it's home and my preference.

LA's got near perfect weather. Too humid here in zhuhai. And san francisco gets too cold.
Haha, that's true, "the coldest & most foggy summer I had been experienced is in SF. "lol But, SF is quite artsy! =p
