Blue card and leave of absence.

Hello,
I have a skilled blue card, but need to take a leave of absence for 4 months. I need to go back home, and my employer is willing to give me the leave, but says that if I stay out of Macau for more than 3 months, my blue card will be automatically cancelled.
Is that true? Any idea where I could find out?

I believe it would be best to go and ask the folks who issued the blue card.
