This all sounds very modern & exciting, but for whom is it, and I quote, "bringing luxury, romance and quality life", to?
I have lived in Tangjiawan for over four years, and have watched, appalled, while Huafa & its cohorts have been crushing the identity out of the town with huge developments such as Spanish Castle & Gree Coast. Up these monstrosities go, and for whom? Hong Kongers & Macaunese coming over on the bridge?
Where is the progress for the local population in these developments? Plenty of cleaning and security jobs, just what the doctor ordered, 24 hour & dawn til' dusk jobs with low pay, progress indeed.
All this hand in hand with huge advertisement hoardings, more speeding (big black car) traffic & scooter clamp downs is not my personal idea of progress. Is this what happened to the village of Zhuhai?
I would like to see KeYi Business Consulting stop these developments, LEDs (oh whoopy) or not, and stop looking West. But then KeYi wouldn't make lots and lots of money at any price, would they?
If you know where the old carrefour is in that area are a lot of tax consulting firms because I think there are some head office for zhuhai taxation around there?
If you are still looking for accountants I guess you could walk around that area and visit some of these firms to see if they can be helpfull to you.
I've used the print shop on the corner of Jida road and Jingyuan road (next to the Shanghai restaurant)
I've only had smaller documents printed and scanned. Do not remember what they charge for scanning, but printing was last time 0,5RMB per page. Maybe you can get a better price at 1000 pages, but I would almost think you can buy a cheap printer and scanner and then do it yourself for less, or maybe slightly more, but then you will have a printer afterwards
Thanks for the advice. I have a scanner, and started to do it myself, but it is very time consuming and I have a lot on so I would rather just pay somebody to do it.
On that note, if anybody knows anybody who might be interested in earning some extra money on a casual basis, I would be happy to pay a reasonable price to get this done. I guess it might be suitable for a student or similar.
I've found places for 5 mao - look for the stores specializing in copying, printing & scanning, rather than the ones inside photo shops and outside general purpose stores. The one I went to most recently in Zhuhai was at Nanping Jiekou near to the De Yi Supermarket. Just in case you need it, the Chinese for scan is "Sao Miao" or something very similar.
However, this being said, I've very rarely had to resort to physically scanning a book. I usually find the electronic version on-line. Judging by your username, I guess you are trying to scan educational books. Have you tried englishtips.org? Or googling depositfiles + the name of the book?
If you have a smart phone with /or a good camera, just take pictures of the pages yourself! (i do that with documents and then crop unwanted edges in Picasa) I haven't seen anything for less than 1 yuan per page. Perhaps you can get a better deal since it's so many pages but still you'll end up paying few hundred yuan. Perhaps someone has a better idea for you?
The sad truth: Just ask tax bureau person who is handling your case and ask if he/she have recommended accountant. Most likely it will be their relative but whatever you pay that person is going to be cheaper than what tax bureau wants you to pay.
hi, in jida I'm paying 20Rmb an hour. She does just cleaning, no cooking. A friend who lives in huafa new century told me she pays hers 15Rmb an hours. However her ayi works full time, cooks, cleans and helps with children. In jida some ayis charge 25-30 an hour but usually they are very experienced with good recommendations.
I guess it's time to start carrying weapons in order to protect yourself and your belongings...once you chop a hand off or put a bullet in somebody's head they'll eventually learn that stealing is a bad thing. Agree or disagree?

hi Obelikz
Have you found your employees already? If not there are a couple of large human resource centres not too far from Huafa ..
People gather there everyday looking for jobs. All the major factories and companies get their employees from there I have the impression.
They are all located on Jin Ji Lu which is right across from a large shopping centre with a Vanguard + McDonalds , etc .
Should be pretty easy to spot once you are on that street near vanguard. There are always tons of jobseekers around.
